PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE +Internet) A+ Certified and Certified Novell 5 Engineer (CNE). Four years experience in Microsoft NT/2000 and Novell LAN Administration/Engineering and desktop support. I spent five years experience as Digital Electronic Repair Program Director, teaching, analyzing and developing programs, instructing courses in electronics, computer repair, and LAN networking. I have fourteen years digital computer technical support and supervisory experience USN, with eight years developing curriculum and instructing in Navy schools and at a college.

1. ACE Computer Support July 2005 – Current
Northrop Grumman for the USPS, Raleigh NC

Computer support in the advanced computing environment. Working with VPN, Outlook, Windows XP, 2000, and 2003 Active directory, Remote Computer management, Netmeeting, Printer setup, Antivirus, Backups, system management setting up and restoring Trust relationships, Microsoft office and Remedy to maintain over 10,000 computers in the Post office Network. I currently have a Post office sensitive clearance.

2. Automotive Internet Sales, November 2003 – July 2005
Auto Dealerships, Raleigh/Durham NC  

Automotive sales force providing customer service and support. Provided support for computer setup and operation, troubleshooting internet outages, web site operation and TCP/IP setup and maintenance. Master Certified Lincoln Mercury and Internet sales                       

3. EMS Server support team, March 2003 – July 2003
Advantage Professionals for EDS Raleigh NC                                                  

Provided level 2 support for the US Post Office in a multiple domain environment, supporting 500+ Windows NT/2000 Servers, Performs server troubleshooting and maintenance, Updated software on client and server, Responded to user calls, analyzed problems and requirements in the technical areas and develops and oversees the implementation of appropriate solutions. Technical areas include areas such as the following: hardware, software, and applications in the computer and networking environment, works with Windows NT 4.0, Win 2000, Win XP, SMS, IIS, Wins, DHCP, DNS, Arcserve, Remedy, PC Anywhere, Terminal Services, Patrol and Net meeting to monitor and correct WAN wide problems. US Postal Clearance held.

I served as Network Administrator working with 5 Novell Servers and a Windows NT Server with over 300 clients. I maintained the Groupwise e-mail system. Worked with windows 95/98, NT 4.0, Wins, DHCP, DNS, Lotus notes, Microsoft Office, Ghost and WordPerfect. Worked with TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, Token ring and Ethernet, made system backups, troubleshooting and tuning network operations.

6. Program Director / Instructor, March 1993 - May 1998                                           
DURHAM TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE DURHAM, NC

Electronic Servicing / Digital Electronic Repair program. Teaching basics of electricity to the repair of computers and networks. Taught classes in desktop and peripheral support. Supervised the program, developed new classes, overhauled program, analyzed, developed requirements and obtained new equipment, oversaw instructors, and taught electronics, computer upgrading and repair classes. In addition, taught classes for other programs in networking, Internet, HTML, software installation, and introduction to computers. Held seminars in ISO 9000 electronic construction standards. Worked with other Instructors to build and maintain classroom LAN network.
